My Force 5 boat is from 1974.Is there something that I should do, to avoid a failure?
I had no problem until now, but probably the boat was not used very hard until now. I bought it last year.

While we wait for experienced boat mechanics to chime in, I'll just mention that the boat I recently bought is a 1986 model. The previous owner did do a mast step reinforcement on this boat, as well as work around inside the transom area. So there are 2 inspection ports, one in each location.

Hello Chris
The link does not work any more. How can I get information about this problem. You wrote to others who are new, that it is easy to fix. My Force 5 is from 1974. So I think I should check this.
Thanks a lot
Peter
